About ToyHive

Built from the inside of a toy library

ToyHive was created by a long-time toy library volunteer — committee member at Port Melbourne Toy Library, and President and Treasurer at Bright Toy Library, where they led the library’s first digital migration. Years on the loans desk shaped every screen.

Why the hive?

A hive is many small contributors building one shared, ever-growing store — which is both how toy libraries run and how ToyHive works. Every library that joins makes the shared catalogue richer for every other library, the way SeTLS and MiBase never could. We have a lot of respect for those systems and the people behind them; ToyHive exists because phones, AI, and a shared catalogue make a new kind of toy library software possible.
